had the following delightful conversation with my boss today.

boss: is something the matter?

v: nope, everything is cool.

boss: you look tired and you aren't wearing any make-up.

translation: you look like shit. damn, you musta had a rough night.

v: um, actually, i'm wearing everything.

only consolation is that my boss is a woman and acts chinese and noticing (and pointing out) that kind of stuff is normal. . . sigh. . must get sleep.
